In July 2025, Brazil recorded a trade surplus of USD 7.07 billion, surpassing June's USD 5.89 billion and exceeding market forecasts of USD 5.6 billion. Export figures demonstrated a 4.8% increase from the previous year, reaching USD 32.31 billion, propelled by a 7.4% rise in manufacturing, a 3.6% gain in extractive industries, and a slight 0.3% uptick in agriculture. Meanwhile, imports rose by 8.4% to USD 25.24 billion, with manufacturing imports growing 11.1% and agricultural imports increasing by 3.8%, even as imports from the extractive sector plummeted by 29.2%.

Among major trading partners, exports to Argentina soared by 42.4%, while imports from the country decreased by 8.0%, resulting in a USD 560 million surplus. Exports to China, Hong Kong, and Macau contracted by 2.7%, yet imports from these areas increased by 8.0%, culminating in a surplus of USD 3.99 billion. Transactions with the United States showed a 3.8% rise in exports; however, this was outweighed by an 18.2% surge in imports, leading to a USD 560 million deficit. From January to July 2025, Brazil's exports experienced a marginal increase of 0.1%, contrasted with an 8.3% rise in imports, achieving a cumulative trade surplus of USD 36.98 billion.
